Default Massive lottomax Jackpot this weekend.

50 million + 20 1 million dollar jackpots.

Now I am certainly not a lottery guy, I am one that refers to it as an idiot tax. However, it seems all these huge jackpots are won by big groups and companies.

Here is an idea, a CP group buy. We win the Jackpot, we buy the Heat, and move them to Red Deer, and for suggesting this idea, I get to be the GM and a 5/6 d-man.

Could we put a group buy together by Friday? And how could we do it?

The odds of winning lottomax are ridiculously low. I mean, all lottos are low, but lottomax takes the cake.

I know... idiot tax, I'm with you there.

But the last few of these 50 million pots I think have all been won by big group buys. Just think. we could have the highest per capita net worth of any hockey board on the net.

I am going to just ignore this thread and not pitch in any money towards a ticket. If you win however, I will complain that I was never given a chance to buy a ticket and wasn't aware that there was a group buy so I am entitled to a portion of the winning.

Wait, just ignore this... I know nothing about no group buy lottery on CP.

As long as you look over the numbers from last week before making your selection, you have a good shot.

That's the thing with Lottomax is you can only select one set of numbers out of the 3 you get. It's a trap!

I do the group buy at my work because it's only a couple bucks and why not. But I make sure to get the proper group release forms filled out and signed so I don't have anyone suing us.

True, but people still win it occasionally.

I admit it, I play lotteries (6-49 and Lottomax) quite regularly. Maybe it's an idiot tax, but I find some entertainment in it and can afford it, so what the hell.

The lotteries that I never miss are things like home lotteries that actually have decent odds relatively speaking.

The one time I turned down a lottery ticket buy at work, I realized if those #######s win, I am going to be stuck here doing my job and 4 other peoples until they find enough people to replace them all.

Never turned down a chance again.

The manager of the place I work at was the first person to get in on it. His exact words were "I don't want to come in on Monday and have 20 people pissing on my desk while I'm stuck here, take the $2."

No matter how low the chances are there is still a chance if you buy vs absolutely no chance if you don't.

I tend to buy the minimum because in the scope of things $5 vs $100 is the same chance but both are > than no chance.

I stopped at the Macs over in the Blackfoot industrial area the other day, and the guy in front of me dropped $95 on lotto max tickets. He must really hate his job.

To me and my Wife the fun is spending some time thinking about the Vacations we would take if we won. The suspension of reality is worth the $5 or so it costs.

This is correct, this is also why now is the best time to buy, while your odds of winning the 50 isnt any different, adding the extra 1 mil gives you a 26 better chance of winning then before.
