				 Sunwing vacation includes sleepless night

	Full articleQuote:

		| Several travellers who bought an all-inclusive vacation package in Mexico say they got a nasty surprise after arrival — they were booked into a hotel for one night less than expected and had to check out 17 hours before their morning flight home. |
Thankfully (and surprisingly) Expedia is trying to rectify.

		| "[We] are following up with each Expedia customer affected to make sure this experience is set right with them. We are also following up with Sunwing/Signature Vacations to ensure this doesn't happen again."
By the way these packages are structured, Lucas said, it appears Sunwing could sell the same rooms to different customers — for the same nights.

After outgoing passengers who buy the "late checkout" leave at midnight, their room could be cleaned and given to incoming passengers who arrive early in the morning, and counted as their first paid hotel night.

"This has been going on for quite some time, I think, and they are doing it because they are making money," said Lucas.

I dont know who would want to fly on a cramped Sunwing 737-800 anyway. That thing crams in about 20 more seats then a Westjet 737-800.

Won't be booking vacations with them anytime soon.
Can't believe they get away with that crap!

Its crazy to be hearing about this just now though. People are coming forward saying this has been happening for years... Thats a bunch of bull. The fact the hotel puts these guests up in the lobby for the night as well. I wouldn't want to stay at this hotel, or travel with SunWing. Take care of your guests. Expedia is a great company however, and im sure they will fix things from their end.

My "Honeymooon" package with sunwing included a room with 2 double beds. They are a terrible company and I will never book a trip with them again.

Me and my wife were originally looking at sunwing for our honeymoon in Cuba but our travel agent said straight up "I won't let you book sunwing, they have the worse track record" and booked us on Transat Vacations instead.

It's so weird that when I went to Mexico with Sunwing, we had no problems and no hassling from Sunwing while we were there. Guess we got lucky.
The plane was definitely cramped though...it made a long flight feel even longer.

They tried the various selling tactics on me when we used them in November, but I found that the best defense to their pressure was to just be extremely hung over. No matter what their pitch was, I was able to disdainfully reject it and collect my free massage for showing up. Worked great, I like to call it playing the system to a T.

No.... Most Airlines do not do that. How cheap are they? Westjet does not do this.

Most airlines will use the potable water for tea and coffee and the warm towels if the airline does them. I cant think of one that uses the potable water for in-service consumption.
I tend to think they werent properly serviced at the airport which is why they were using the potable water.

The other possibility is that alot of these airlines will be serviced and loaded with food/water etc in Canada for both trips. So if the down trip consumes more than expected the return wont have as much.

Worst flight of my life, 6 hours with my knees wedged against the metal frame of the seat infront of me. I'm only 6' I couldnt imagine being taller.

What's the problem here? Who sleeps the last night of an all inclusive vacation in Mexico with unlimited booze?
