As has been rumored for a while now, the Jays have snagged another shortstop to toss onto the ever growing pile of shortstops they are building:

Came to post the same thing about Borucki. ZERO walks, that's great! Really nice to see some young arms come up and pitch well. That adds a bit of insulation to our five man rotation when Happ gets dealt, and maybe even Estrada.
Zeuch had another strong start in AA yesterday and I mentioned Sean Reid-Foley was strong for the Bisons yesterday as well. We could see one or both of them starting games for the Blue Jays at the end of the season.

Just in case anyone forgot Gibby is still the best.

Gibbons noted a similarity between Borucki and former Blue Jays left-hander Mark Buehrle given that both work quickly and throw effective changeups.
"Much slimmer," Gibbons said of Borucki. "I’m sure the thought process they think alike. Classic lefty-type guy. I’ve been really impressed. If a kid can throw strikes and move the ball he’s got a chance, and that’s what he’s done his first two outings. … He probably doesn’t drink as much beer as Buehrle."

Estrada injures himself in the 1st inning and is pulled.
This team is living under a black cloud.

Even more reason to trade Happ right now, before he inevitably gets injured and his trade value plummets.

Eric Pardinho pitched again today for Bluefield.
5 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 walks, 9 strike outs.
Keep in mind, this is a 17 year old pitching against mostly 20-22 year olds.

Pitching line for the Bisons so far today:
SRF can miss the bats and hit the strike zone.
Mayza too when he's on.
