I wonder how much Vasek Pospisil made for his one second of screen time on that National Bank commercial?

Why are the line judges wearing the same thing as the ball people? And its not a flattering outfit for all body types.

I don't care for the guy so it colours my opinion regardless of the sport unfortunately.

Going to reply to myself
Genie's digging down deep here. Her body language is up and down, but she's pushing hard. Here's to hoping she'll close it out here.

Ugly stuff from Genie. Her brain looks frazzled.

There's so much potential with her, but she's all over the place. I mean, I don't know what's going on in her head. Sports psychology is something I know very little about. One minute, you can tell she's ready to beat the world and next it's the flip of a switch.

She just doesn't have that edge she had in 2014. When things would go bad or she'd miss easy shots that year, she put it behind her immediately and fought back. Now when things go that way, she gets mad and loses focus and then things tend to spiral. In some ways losing yesterday could help her more because it should be clear to her now how vital the mental aspect is for her. When she was up a set and a break, she had been on a run of 3 straight dominant sets, the only thing that changed when she fell apart was her mentality and focus. Cincinnati next week will be a good test for her.

I don't really see how last night's mental meltdown is going to show her anything all of her previous meltdowns haven't. I'd be floored if her coaches haven't already been working with her on it already - she has looked a little better this year than last, after all. It's just a matter of continuing to work with Genie on that and hoping she finally buys in to it fully.

It was interesting listening to what her coach was saying to her between sets. He kept repeating, (I'm paraphrasing a bit), "I know how hard this is for you" and "These people believe in you. I believe in you."
He didn't focus much on tactics and perhaps that's because he was mic'ed up, but it was just fascinating to hear Nick Saviano's words to her.
A nice run at Cincinnati and even the Olympics may do wonders for her.

She's been early round fodder for two seasons now and hasn't really shown any signs of life. I just think there's too many distractions in her life with all the fame.

I'd agree with that, but the fact that she hit an insane 74 unforced errors goes to show that even when it's going good with her, she still is trying to do more than she should be. It's very concerning when a player can't or is unwilling to adjust during a game. Genie just kept trying to crush winner after winner instead of slowing it down and waiting for better opportunities.
At this point I don't know how she ever comes out of this downward spiral.

Unforced errors everywhere. He should be winning this.
