Looking back at the 5th inning decision ... I don't think intentionally walking Shohei changes anything there.
They walk Shohei and it's 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Betts still flys out. But both runners probably score with that hard hit past first that Freeman had since Shohei would be running on contact there with 2 outs.
The real decision that will haunt them from this game is not walking Shohei in the 7th. With one out putting Shohei on 1st there is a no brainer.

Schneider says mri for George and said “Glad I got him out when did”.
Didn’t George pull himself?

Ohtani looked like he might have tweaked something.
Hopefully that hurts his start tomorrow (today).

Agree to disagree.
His hard double scoring Hernandez sparked the inning and after it was over it was tied.
Ohtani didn’t come around to score any of the 5 times he was walked after the 7th.
Take the bat out of his hand no matter what.

People speculating that he hurt his leg during that unsuccessful steal attempt earlier in the game. If that's the case, it's hard to imagine a scenario where is pitching is unaffected. You never want to see a player get hurt, but this might open the door a bit here for the Jays if Ohtani can't pitch tonight.

That is a pretty serious indictment. I’ve been Davis’ biggest cheerleader but man he doesn’t have productive at bats at all.

What hurt most for me was Ernie today.
He’s just been incredible this post season. And every time he came up I was like “here we go!”
And then first pitch swinging, weak contact.
Vlad didn’t have it today. But I kept thinking Ernie would be the hero. Lukes had opportunity too. And he’s been so clutch as well.
My brain is fried haha.

If Springer is out for today (likely), you could feasibly keep Bichette's bat in the lineup as the DH and not worry about his fielding. He might be a little banged up still, but it's all hands on deck right now, and he can still hit.
Hey, I'm looking for silver linings here.

It is major advantage Dodgers given the pitching matchups tonight. I don’t think anyone would be surprised if Ohtani pitched into the 8th. Bieber, I think we’re doing well if he gives us 5 good innings

But he didn’t.
His career in Toronto is over was my point. But not because he’s as bad as he’s being made out to be.

Who is actually blaming Little for this game? He wasn’t exactly “thrown in” to this game. It was 18 innings and he was all they had left.
Come on man.

Stings because they had so many chances to win a pivotal game, just couldn't execute in the moment. Hard for me to get behind blaming a single decision or person in an 18 inning game where they had their chances to win it.
Just couldn't get it done last night, which happens. Sure I wish they didn't send Schneider home with Vlad coming up, but Vlad doesn't appear to be seeing the ball the same way he did the previous series so no guarantees he cashes that in.

They would never have pitched to Vlad in that spot

Oh, Schneider's galaxy brain wasn't the only coaching staff failure...that 3rd base coach signalled runners like he had money down with Ohtani's bookie.
The substitutions look terrible in hindsight, but no one sees an 18 inning game coming. But there were 4 huge outs at 3rd and the plate that probably cost the Jays this game. I laughed at the challenge on blocking...of course that catcher was in front of the plate, he waited so long after getting the relay that he had to stretch to avoid cramping.
Seriously, Schenider was out by 6 feet. How do you send him on the play? You have to give Vladdy the chance to bring that run home, especially in the 10th.
Sadly, I think this game will be the turning point in the series. The Jays had it in their hands and let it slip away. This wasn't an all-time classic, it's a miracle of one team being handed a game on a platter by a mind boggling series of managerial and coaching blunders combined with an absolute dearth of clutch hitting, having the best player on the planet hit two homers and be walked 6 times, and still taking 18 innings to close the door.
The Jays threw this game away, but full credit to the Dodgers for not wanting it either. They tried their best to lose it, but just couldn't pull it off.
On a positive note, the bullpen was awesome. Holding that lineup to two runs over 13 innings is unbelievable. Just such a shame no one had their back.

Very possible. However, given how they've pitched him so far in this series I don't think they fear him.

Sure but Vladdy or IKF? that's an easy choice in that spot.
