What I hate about the show is that the writers sometimes forget that this show is supposed to be a faux-reality or documentary.
Most of the time they remember, but are am I honestly led to believe that neither boss would have realized that the guy he was speaking to at the bar was the old/new boss? Wouldn't having the camera crew there tip them off?
Or am I led to believe that Will's character would not have prior knowledge that one aspect of his new job would entail him to be filmed thoughout his day for a reality show. I guess his later fear of performing would lead me me to believe this option, because then surely he would not have taken the position.

I think Will Farrel may be the Scranton Strangler, the finger prints above the door might be signifigant if he is. When he was at the shelter with Andy he told the story about being hired at sabre, basicly he was a vagrant who saved Jo's dog and she hired him. With the weird behavior he is exhibiting and the who sales call thing he just may be the stangler. But I could be wrong, just a hunch

No, you may be right. I think you figured it out. The 3 episodes left some clues that point to that. I was thinking the same after last night's episode.

I liked last night's episode. His goodbye to Jim had me tearing up a bit.
Not a huge fan of Will Farrell, though.

Sad to see Michael Scott leave, but the episode itself wasn't all that funny. I liked the silent "that's what she said." I think Steve Carell definitely made the right decision leaving the show at this point.

What a sappy episode. I wish they hadn't made this show so sentimental. That was nearly as lame as a late season Friends episode. Will Ferrell was hilarious at least.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention - is something wrong with the actor who plays Toby? I've noticed the past few episodes he's been in, his face looks incredibly gaunt. The dude has definitely lost some weight.

I didn't think of Ferrell as the Strangler, but I think that may be correct. That may be the reason why his character seems to change every episode. Going from a normal guy to now someone who is clearly insane in a short span. Ferrell can act (watch some of his non-comedies) but I think he has been funny so far.
I started to tear up when Michael and Jim were saying their goodbyes.
The best scene though was when Michael put the trophy on his desk ala the intro credits that we've got for how many scenes. I thought that was pretty cool.

I loved it and thought Greg Daniels did a perfect job. This show has always been comedy first, but it's had it's sweet moments. I enjoyed the sentiment to it all and just how far Michael has grown. For anyone who wish they layed off on the sentimental moments, i thought they actually did quite a job of balancing them with comedy. For life long Office fans, the amount of callbacks made that episode!
I saw Krasinski on Letterman this week and he talked about how him and Steve just were balling the second that last scene started. Really came off as real and both actors nailed it.
To think when the Office begun, how weak the first season was and how the show was inches away from being canceled. With all the pressure and comparisons to Gervais, somehow Carrell made this character his own.
And I might have to say this for the first time, Phyllis stole that show for me. She was hilarious last night

I agree... couldn't have said it better myself.
The relationships between the characters has been key to the show, and I'm glad they focussed on that, rather than an off-the-wall zany goodbye to Michael.
I also loved that his final line was a muffled 'that's what she said'.

I read speculation on another mystery that might come up in future episodes:

This show has basically ignored the faux-reality part of itself after the first couple episodes. It's run far too long and is just a joke in and of itself.
For myself, the British office was far better at sticking to that faux-reality format and it worked very well for their comedy.
The US version is just a cliched sitcom with awkward people who occasionally look at the camera.

Wow, I didn't find it funny at all. Ferrell's character is so unlikeable that it just turns me off the entire show.

Kevin had a few good lines and the very end was funny, but I want a fan of the episode overall. Everyone, especially Jenna Fischer just seemed a little off. Hopefully it was just sadness from doing the fist episode without Steve Carell.

I thought it was an awful episode.
Ferrell just didn't work. At all.
