Eduardo's ban overturned by UEFA. I'm not so sure about their decision.

And we're back where we started.

Can I also request that people refrain from quoting any 'special' posts. Liverpool fan my ar*e...
If he does not get a "holiday' for those two incidents in one game then those making that decision are pretty clueless. That should not be tolerated.

Home-grown rule introduced

As of next season clubs will be required to have a squad named of up to 25 players, of which no more than 17 can be over the age of 21 and not home grown
Good move. It will be interesting to see how Chelsea complies with their transfer ban in place.

I thought all teams fit under the home-grown rule, with Chelsea and Liverpool just barely making it.

Keep in mind, "home-grown" doesn't mean English for the English clubs. It just means that you must have 17 players that are from your country OR came through your academy. Macheda, Rafael, John O'Shea, and Darron Gibson all count as "home grown" for Manchester United even though they're Italian, Argentinian, and Irish.

Been charged with violent conduct so looks like a probable fast tracked 3 games for the stamp. The celebration (improper conduct) to be heard at a later date.

So, no Scholes and probably no Adebayor on Sunday.

Hope it's 3 and 3. Disgusting display by the drama queen that is Adebayor.

New financial reporting standards agreed upon by Premier League clubs in order to ensure that all clubs maintain viability as ongoing concerns.

I think this is a very smart move, and its about time.

If they were serious about this they would made a rule back in 1995 when half the clubs in Serie A went under.

This is the anti-Portsmouth rule, plain and simple.

I hate to quote your posts but a rule like this will severely monitor two of the most indebted clubs in the league other than Portsmouth, them being Manchester United and Liverpool.

And if it was a rule in respect to any particular team, I'd go back in time and call it the Leeds rule.

Cue the anti-MUFC whinging.

Brutal, brutal defensive game by United.

Clearly Fergie told the ref to play an extra 2 minutes.
In fairness though, Hughes has a right to ask for an explanation.

The 4th official apparently told Hughes they added a minute on for that.

There's an interview with him here.

Meh, all the sweeter. Conspiracy, I tell ya .....

Sure, why not?

It was the old "let's play until United scores" extra minutes at the end of a match. Nothing really to explain really.

Owen. He was dead before to me. He's obliterated now.

There. How's that.

Jagger,

Thanks!

Anyways, it happened and City had just as much time to get the winner as well. I was just as surprised that it went on as long as it did - I thought that after the horrid midfield(ish) free kick that it would be called.

Owen has paid his "transfer fee" in full!

Given is a beast.

Unbelievable. I'm with you, I cant even look at my "Owen" jersey anymore.

6 added minutes? When was the last time any match had 6 minutes added on?

There's lots to explain.

4 minutes added time was shown when city was 3-2 down. If anything the surplus time was to their benefit and United's disadvantage. Can't be any arguments from opposition fans there.

City scores. 3-3. Another minute added on to allow for the time eaten up by their celebration = total of 5 minutes added time. Ref thought he had won with his "let's play until city equalises" move.

Carrick comes on for Anderson so another 30 seconds is added to the clock as per the norm for substitutions = total time added on: 5:30.

Giggs says screw you ref, I seen you lot do this before, splits the defence to Owen who scores at 95:28 with an astonishing 2 perfectly legitimate seconds left on the clock to leave city and the ref gobsmacked.

Refute.
