You clearly know what you're doing. The sweet spot on a magpie is pretty small. Personally, I prefer a shotgun. The explosion of feathers is most satisfying.

Well, obviously! I was just sayin' that a bb gun can do the trick if used properly.

I used the BB gun to "wing" them or startle them by hitting leaves and branches etc. near them, My intent was never to kill them, just get them the fvck out of my yard. It worked very well.

Now I've got a canister of 2000 BB's to unload.
