I don't watch this show but going through the thread and adding your mom into every post has been entertaining.
Sorry, but that's what the thread title makes me think every time.

I watched this show tonight because you guys all seem to think it's so great and I gotta admit, I laughed. Though I was somewhat disappointed to see the bandcamp chick on there. She does not do it for me. At all.

She's not supposed to. Colbie Smulders is the one who does.
Although she was wearing a canucks jersey, which softyfied my wang substantially.

If they have a Quad tuner I would have it.

well first its kind of a show that you should watch from the beginning because there is usually a lot of inside jokes. And second, Hannigan can be wierd like that. Its like depending on the day she can be super hot or sometimes....not

Powerplay Quarterback

I've been watching the show since the start and haved loved it in the past, but am I the only one who thinks this season has gotten off to poor start. It's in danger of turning into Friends where everyone in the group is dating. Barney needs to be single for it to work for me.

Its not lupus so no need to worry about keeping up with House.

I was just thinking that the other day, HIMYM is the new Friends.

Same thing is happening to the Office....too much lovey dovey crap between Pam and Jim. Last week that episode where Pam got all weird and wanted people to stop eating things in the office just because she was having a baby made me want to throw my tv at her.
For the show's sake I hope both couples in the show break up. There's a reason why happy endings are called that way....because they are a good time and make you too tired to watch tv...oh, and they also kill the chance for the show to move on and thus it tends to end.
Btw, Modern Family is a great new show that people need to check out.

I thought the wedding episode was hilarious. The puking scene at the beginning had my gf gasping for air. HIMYM is funny, and Barney is a great character, but I consider the Office on a different level.
There is nothing wrong with having a comedy that can have heart, or downtime, or a straight-man. If you want all-out comedic assault - go watch Family Guy.
Further, the best comedy shows grow and change. The one exception - Seinfeld. If Barney stays forever as Barney, pretty soon he will be jumping a shark to maintain his coolness...
