If I voted in Nicolaides' riding in the last election but have since moved addresses, can I sign the recall?

I’d imagine only if you still live in his constituency. I canvassed heavily for Forever Canadian and talked to an Elections Alberta employee and if this one is validated like ours is, you won’t have to show ID. That’s assuming this petition is handled the same; I see no reason why it’d be different.

I think the rule is that you have to have lived in the riding for the last 90 days.
If you no longer live in the riding then that likely makes you ineligible to sign. There might be a grey area if you moved out of the riding a month ago? I don't know.

Lethbridge resident Daniela Andrea Kutney described a half-hour meeting with her Lethbridge-East UCP MLA, utilities minister Nathan Neudorf, during which she said he told her that “the UCP will be working to repeal the recall system which has been abused.”
Democracy in action is 'abuse' to these twats. I hope every single one of these recalls passes the vote threshold before they can repeal it. Question is, can we sue the government over the retroactive repeal when they attempt to force it through in the spring?

I am moving to Calgary Bow next week. Will I be eligible to sign once my address is updated?

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says her government has no plans to change provincial recall legislation, at least for the moment.

She says no changes to the legislation are currently on the table but her government will, in her words, “deal with it” if and when the petitions get enough signatures.

Might I suggest an alternate path forward, Madame Premiere?

The UCP AGM is scheduled for Edmonton Nov 28-30. While a Leadership Review isn't on the agenda, I imagine there will still be backroom jockeying. With a number of policy proposals being put forward, as well as slates of Provincial Board candidates, the party will likely become explicitly separatist. If not, then major fractures will start.

I keep debating going to the AGM to see if there is any way to push for sanity or moderatism in the face of the crazy... but I have no faith that the party will actually listen to the membership and I do not think that I could stomach the experience.
I think they are run 100% by the backroom jockeying.

You must live 90 days in the riding.

I am going to be setting up in the field where sunny side used to be opposite where the superstore is tomorrow. Hoping for a big day. Will be my 10th time getting signatures already.

Operation Total Recall is still at 21 recalls in motion but some status updates: - 12 targeted - Meaning someone has stepped up to be the proponent for the petition (Step 1 in their process)
- 7 Initial Paperwork Submitted - Paperwork has been filed with $500 payment (Step 2)
- 1 Initial Paperwork Accepted - Paperwork has been accepted by Elections Alberta and is waiting for the Member statement before issuing the petition to start collecting signatures (Step 3)
- 1 Gathering signatures (Step 5)
Of the list not started, I really hope someone steps up to go after Peter Singh in Calgary-East. He only won by 698 votes and only requires 8593 signatures to recall. That's like half of the effort of Calgary-Bow.
After that, I would go after the rest of the Calgary MLAs just out of principle. They have done nothing to represent our city or ensure our city benefits from this government.

Thank you so much for this.
What’s the mood like out there? I mean the people signing are probably already pissed but have you had many conversations with UCP supporter or uninformed moderates/conservatives?
