Like this is a crowd full of serious people who are here for one thing only. They want to know their opponents so they can immediately begin to plan. They aren't high energy so the presenters are always going to be in for a tough time.
The applause is probably by paid actors or just played on loudspeakers.
Also that song sucked. Qatar's WC song was way better.
