There's room for you if you wear the elf costume. How could I say no to that?

Day 638 :
Dion's elf costume is wearing thin, but it's all he's got(and nothing underneath!). If he bends over one more time I'm not sure my psyche can handle the damage. Beginning to regret not inviting that pickle guy.

I was kinda thinking Elf steak could be a delicious meal if things get desperate, but I like pickles, too.

My kid is working on a project in 'northern AB' where a large part of the 'renovation' is a large underground bunker, complete with it's own purified air supply, power source (generators) and water supply (well), and also including a 100m escape tunnel. Blast doors on either end, one terminating as hidden in an outbuilding and the other behind a bookcase inside main house.
I guess this should not be too shocking

I mean....the mental image of Dion in an Elf costume pounding desperately on your Bunker door during a Nuclear Apocalypse?
I'd lie if I said I didn't find that hilarious.

What ever happened with the Diefenbunker at CFB Penhold? I bowled there as an army cadet, and then I think it was going to be sold to the Hells Angels before the govt bought it back at 2x the price?
That thing still around or they concrete it in?

My friend has been inside the Diefenbunker on business. Sounds odd, I know.

I think the best bunker is the one from 'Blast From the Past'

I don’t know about the one at Penhold, but the Diefenbunker outside Ottawa is a museum now and it’s amazing.

I'd just like to take a moment to recognize the S-tier quality portmanteau that is Diefenbunker. Gotta be top 5 in Canada, maybe globally.
