the Oilers are slow as #### overall...nearly all the goals were because of ridiculous mistakes

Troubling thing for this organization as I could definitely see apathy from the fans.

As mentioned in the game thread, by my eyes the gameplan just doesn't seem to change no matter the opponent. Which is why I'm curious if the plan was indeed abandoned during their quasi comeback tonight

The puck went THROUGH Gios skate.

Thats the moment I knew they were ####ed. I don't think I'll ever see that again.

I never understood posts like this.

A) How do we know what his value is?

(Hamonic demanded a trade and barely looked like an NHL caliber defender and still garnered a 1st ++)

B) If Brodie was playing good, what reason would there be to trade him?

no kidding, neither team should be happy about that game

Oilers are fighting for their season and almost blew a 6-1 lead in the 3rd period with their captain floating at center when it was 6-5

The Flames didn't deserve to tie it, but they had a chance with that third period PP, and with the ineffectiveness of the PP earlier in the game, and the ineffectiveness of Brouwer on the PP all year, to still come back to him at that point. . . .

This is the type of thing that has me so down on the coaching staff. No ability or willingness to adapt. Just bull-headed, "This is our plan and we're sticking to it rain or shine."

The Oilers are a terrible hockey team, which made me even more angry seeing the crap fest the Flames put up in the 1st period. The Flames don't even have to play their best just decent and we beat the Oilers. Their defense is awful.

At this point I don't think it matters what the names of our D are on paper.

It could be
Subban - Weber
Gio - OEL
Lidstrom (in his prime) - Chelios (in his prime)

Our defensive is destined to always be terrible.

I don't blame you. I won't pay to see another game until something changes.

Brodie's issues goes beyond just moving him to the right side. Twice he turned over the puck in the final 5 minutes and both times were when he was on the right side of the ice.

Definitely think there's something to be salvaged from a different coaching strategy but it's hard to not start wondering how much of it is the player versus the coach.

So I guess our system makes oilers fast as the flames players were always late for the puck.
