Can confirm @FriedgeHNIC report. Jagr is signing with CGY. Source said he felt comfortable playing under Gulutzan in DAL, which was key.

Jagr is done to CAL. $1M+$1M in bonuses. I think it might not be announced until he gets to the city, but there is a commitment.

Always exciting to get a new toy, but what are we really getting?
Does he have the leadership and presence to really augment our current group? Is he the kind of guy that can keep the team loose? Does he have a history of being a great mentor?

As a hockey card collector I am looking forward to some signed Jagr flames cards.

Even if he just imparts wisdom/ethic into some young players, that will be well worth the 1MIL. A lot of people are so focused on him hopefully clicking with Bennett... but what about Gaudreau/Monahan/Ferland. If some of Jagr's experience helps them to reach another tier then those guys could truly become elite players.
If he, for some strange reason, falters and can't keep up halfway through the year or gets hurt, then it's a very low priced gamble to solidify your lineup.

Is this the off ice Hudler replacement?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
No.
That good enough?
