As you're entitled to. But the sentiment you're saying about them has been repeated previously during times of rotating out the Bfyuglins and Shaws and Sharps and Versteegs. They never falter. Until it doent work, i see no reason to believe they're losing out on a Central division spot.

Valimaki-Andersson look great together. Largely the reason the shot clock being all Jets hasn't cost the Flames on the scoring sheet. Best game I've seen from Mason pretty much ever in a Flames uniform, hopefully he can build on this.

Well its early. I mean if you're asking if he's an NHLer soon then no, clearly not. If you're wondering if he's the next Gaudreau I'd say it's unlikely. It's a long road for the tiny kids. He has to add strength, probably add speed. He has to prove himself vs men, vs better defensemen. He'll have to learn new tricks. It's why I'm usually quite skeptical of small guys until they prove it at the pro level. Gaudreau was a bit different since we saw him dominate at the International stage in the WJC and because college is a step up from junior.

He's got lots of time. I'll take a wait and see approach. He'll dominate junior this year. A big thing for him would be to make the WJC and make an impact there. He'll need to bulk up and then prove himself in the AHL. Only time will tell, its far too early to figure out if he's an NHLer.

But as others have said the nice thing is that he isn't scared to go to the tough areas. That's a very good sign. But yeah he's still got a long road ahead before we can consider him a possible NHLer.

Seems like things will need to go right for them in order to make it. Looking at their roster... they only have 3 x NHL level Dmen. An injury to Seabrook or Keith, and they're screwed.

Hunter Smith should just be released. Just can't skate.

I like Rasmus but Valimaki is showing to be a better prospect at this stage.

Don't like how Andersson gives up the puck a lot into the neutral zone.

Can't stand McDonald's style. Reminds me of Hiller... circa now.

Non-existent defensive coverage, but what was McDonald doing there?

MacDonald struggles to make the most basic of saves. Makes some tough ones, but overplays the easy ones.

Dube sure is lightning fast and elusive. Could definitely see him having an Andrew Cogliano type career. Be interesting to see how his offence translates as he moves along in his career.

McDonald didn't look great there. Poor awareness of the puck. And then he takes a bad penalty.

Baby Flames don't look great today.

You do realize that this is a prospects tournament, not the regular Flames' season, right?

Hard to gauge McDonald. He's made some excellent saves, but he lost the puck on the 3-1 goal then just took a penalty right after.

It's still the best game I've seen from him. Probably not staying much.
