A member of professional media who lurks this site and blatantly takes ideas and writes about them is a bit of a puke, yes. I realize it's a public forum and nothing is copyright, but as a pro you should be able to come up with your own ideas. The folks here do it all the time.

Why not join the site, join the discussion, THEN write about it?

I thought copyright was implicit. So unless there's something in the sign-up agreement stating otherwise, there is copyright. Which would make it worse.

I dunno. Hartley was pretty famous for his quotes this year and the media guys were front and center for every single one of them. What are the chances that another person might also have the idea to compile his most memorable quotes as a bookend to the season?

Pretty high I would guess.
