Former Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett expected to decide today between 49ers and Cardinals, though Rams and Seahawks also interested.
Darnell Dockett expected to sign somewhere today.

They traded a $10mil cap hit for a potential stud linebacker, I'll take it. I have never been a big proponent of giving a running back big money especially with a long term. They decline way to fast, fall off of a cliff fast and McCoy is right at that age where it starts. Plus he has a tonne of mileage. Kelly values a QB much much higher than a RB and feels he can easily replace McCoy.

Not sure what the Eagles plan is but I'm willing to let it play out.

And now things have gone full-on bat####.

From reddit:

Mike Missanelli gets email from un-named source about trade for #1 spot & Mike Evans. 1-3 rounds '15 &'16, 1&2 '17 & Foles (self.eagles)
submitted 3 hours ago by Slater22

Essentially we swap 1st rounds for this year and we get Mike Evans who is worth a 1st round pick. So we lose 2/3 this year and next year along with 1/2 the following year.
My first thought was F that, but if they're not bringing back Maclin then it would make sense for the Eagles, but then I saw this:

Break the trade down into pieces
3 2s for Mike Evans (Yes)
2 1s and 2 3s and Foles for 19 spots (Yes)
And yeah, I think I'd make that trade. Don't know why the Bucs would though.

Wow, Pats not picking up option on Wilfork's second year. He is a FA. Not unexecpted really. Cap space isn't really a problem now for the Pats as his release frees up about 9 mil. Wilfork was not happy about restructuring last year and cleary didn't want to this year either. I guess he thinks he has a year or two left. No way he gets anywhere near the 8.7 he was due with the Pats.

Colts announce Reggie Wayne will not be back, and the Bears have traded Brandon Marshall to the Jets.

Jets getting Marshall means Harvin should be released.

Randle Cobb decides that 10 million a year is enough to keep playing with Aaron Rogers. Good move, still earns a nice pay day and will have a great chance to still produce.

Saints re-sign Mark Ingram last night, $16M over 4 years.

Glad he's back, a little surprised though. Just had a feeling he was gonna go elsewhere. Saints seemed prepared for it too, were rumoured to be sniffing around Forsett and Reggie Bush.

How do the Saints have room to sign anyone? Did they restructure some guys this week?

Miami decides it needs a totally disasterous contract on it's team, so it's gonna sign Suh to a $114 million deal, $60 million guaranteed. No details on years but 6 seems to be the right number. Obviously let the Haynesworth comparisons begin.

Maxwell to the Eagles is reportedly done. 54M over 5 years, with $25M guaranteed. Was really hoping they'd get McCourty in first, but still think it's a good deal.

And because McCoy's contract wasn't already high enough, the Bills decided to give him a raise.

http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2...6-5-40-million

Quote:
McCoy's new five-year contract will pay him $16 million in 2015 and up to $40 million overall. $26.5 million of that total value is guaranteed. That's a lot of money. The new deal makes him the highest paid player in the league at his position. Note that McCoy will turn 27 in July.

I'm a little torn on Gore, a few years ago sign me up but now at almost 32? I'm a big Gore fan and I guess it's not a tonne of money. Perfect style runner for Kelly. I think we see 3 backs quite a bit.

Happy with Maxwell but would love to get McCourty in as well. Still need another DB.

Yeah I'm not sure what to think about Gore. Will really depend on the cap hit. A lot of media guys were saying that Shady frustrated Kelly's offense because for every explosive play he had, he'd also have too many plays where he'd dance at the LOS and get tackled for a loss, which doesn't work well in an offense based on pace. Gore will at least mostly get you positive gains, even if they're not big ones.

Apparently the deal is $7.5M guaranteed over the first two years. Yeah I can deal with that.
