That was my dream once upon a time. To travel the world and be a sportscaster. But the opportunities were never really there in the mid-90s for women like they are moreso now and I was probably too shy. I could do play-by-play in my room but could I do it on tv? And also the sitgma with parents, get a real job and stuff like that.
I think I would have been a great baseball statistician, the person who feeds all the info to the tv guys to make them look good. (The guy sitting beside Bob Uecker in Major League)
But to be female sportscaster would have been tough, the hard hours, the research and scrutinizing. I'm pretty happy with my no pressure/watch 2 monitors at once 9-5 job.

Not trying to go OT but I don't pay too much attention to that sort of thing outside of the common knowledge that the US has been in some serious trouble for awhile now. But are you serious, there are more people in the USA on food stamps than the entire population of Canada?
(Again just wondering if this is even close to true, seems... wow)

46.4 million people in the US are in the food stamp program, also known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

What a day! Great to see the women clinch the bronze medal. That is what you call awesome goaltending and literally hanging on. I also enjoyed the decathlon and track events. Never mind Usain, it should be Insain Bolt, what a sprinter along with his fellow country teammates getting the hattrick of medals in the 200 metre race.

With the way Score and whatnot do their casting (i.e. Drafted), I think you could give it a shot. Do an audition next time they're in town and see how it goes!
