What's the deal in offering him a pro contract? What's the timeline for this?

He has already signed his Entry Level Contract, that will kick in once he plays nine professional games.

Feaster signed him at the draft, or like a week later. He doesnt want an Erixon situation happening again.

Ah yes, I remember now. So when is he eligible to play pro? Next year?

He could have played pro this year (NHL only), but next year he will definitely be turning pro, either with the Flames, or maybe a brief stint with the Heat first.

At the end of the Winterhawks' season this year. If the Flames or Heat are still playing when the Hawks season finishes, he could be put into the lineup (similar to Iginla playing his first NHL games during the 1996 playoffs).
If the Winterhawks go on another deep run (which is likely, at this point), he won't be turning pro until next fall.

When we drafted him I was like "WHo is this guy?!?" ( i didn't pay attention to anyone else outside of RNH,Landeskog,Larson Couterier etc,) but this guy is sick. Really excited for him.

Great to finally see a player with some finesse in this organization.
If you want to see some highlights id suggest going to Portland's website and checking him out:
http://winterhawks.com/video/index/i...ae6bd042505932
He has got 49 points in 21 games, that's a 2.33 average so you'll see him put up points no matter which highlights you watch. One thing Ill say is they take forever to put up new highlights.
Enjoy!!
