Adding Benn and Brodie in there is pretty chintzy. Using the first round picks as their actual players, ok, using late round home runs? ... ehhh
The point is pretty solidly made without those reaches.
The Benn pick was traded to Columbus for Adam McQuaid. Columbus then traded it to Dallas with a couple other 5th Rounders for a 4th Rounder they used to take Maxim Mayorov.
The Rackell pick was traded with a conditional 2nd and Joe Colborne for Tomas Kaberle (the Leafs then used it with a 2nd to trade up to take Tyler Biggs).
The Brodie pick was traded on the condition that Brad Stuart wouldn’t re-sign with the Flames when he was traded with Wayne Primeau for Andrew Ference and Chuck Kobasew. That pick was originally acquired from Washington in exchange for Milan Jurcina.
Yeah, there’s enough ammo to not need to include these. Especially when they’re all twice removed from their original owners.

Then they'll fire T-Mac, Gully will move into a co-coaching role with Mac-T because first of all they can't have a bench without a hyphenated nicknamed coach, and also because Mac-T will have to teach Gully how to coach the Oilyaz way.

Last year the 2nd wildcard team needed 95 points to make the playoffs. After 4 games the Oilers are 2-2 and on track for 82 points. In order to qualify for the playoffs the Oilers need 91 points in 78 games or a record of 45-32-1 to reach 95 points.
To use the Flames as an example right now they have 8 points in 6 games which = 109 pt pace.
To make the playoffs the Flames need to gain 87 points in their final 76 games, which meas they would need a record of 43-32-1 which would give them 95 points.
