I'm getting to the point where I don't blame any kid for making that decision.

No doubt the Gators have their own "Gator Gals" or something to that effect. They're likely some of the best looking of the bunch. Timmy has probably plowed his way through 3/4 of them by now...
Bama has been caught cheating more than any other program. They are the reason for scholarship deals and alot of rules in the NCAA.. once bear ran out of football scolarships the tennis coach would get a 6'7 325lb tennis player that happend to walk on the football team.

But the Unfair treatment only gets better for the gumps with the sec location only being 45 mins from campus. The good ole boy network is still going strong.

Wow. Lane Kiffin is a jackass.

Tennessee's Lane Kiffin has agreed in principle to become the next head coach at Southern California, sources close to the situation told ESPN.com's Chris Low on Tuesday.

I guess so, but this is going to decimate UT. Who knows how many recruits they lose because of this.

Oh, I definitely agree. Tennessee is going to be set back years because of this. But most other coaches would do the same tomorrow if Urban Meyer stepped down for good at Florida.

Another key here is that all of Kiffin's staff (most notably his father, Monte, and Ed Oregeron) are going with him to USC.

It's the nature of the game. It'll never happen at the pro ranks where although some teams will always have an easier time winning (mainly due to famous teams ability to attract free agents) the salary cap ensures that even the most run-down team can be turned around with good coaching and good management.

In the college game, teams like Duke or Iowa State are never going to be powerhouses no matter who coaches there. They might get lucky and go on a run one season, but they'll never consistently get the recruits they need to maintain it.

Not sure how you can be surprised considering your coach is the biggest dick of them all.

I think that Petrino screwing over one fan base, only for them to get better, is much better than Saban flat out lying to at least two fan bases in two years.

Well, Petrino screwed Louisville as well, after years of interviewing for every other job under the sun. Saban also didn't leave mid-season.

Column by ESPN's Pat Forde, chronicling Petrino's unwavering dedication:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/colum...1&sportCat=ncf

Quote:
I apologize to Alabama's Nick Saban -- last year I named him president of the Liar's Club. He's been impeached and replaced by the disingenuous drifter...

In 2003, his first year as a head coach at the University of Louisville, Petrino went behind the back of his employer and his onetime boss, Tuberville, to negotiate a deal replacing him at Auburn. He held a clandestine meeting across the Ohio River from Louisville in southern Indiana with Auburn officials, two days before both the Tigers and Cardinals played their final regular-season games...

In 2004, Petrino interviewed for the Notre Dame job and had discussions with Florida and Mississippi about their jobs. Then, on Dec. 7, he pledged his loyalty to Louisville. "I want to make it clear that I'm not interested in any other coaching jobs, and am happy at the University of Louisville,"...As I've stated before, Louisville is the perfect place to raise a family and I plan for all four of my children to graduate from high school in Louisville."

On Dec. 21, Petrino signed an enhanced contract to stay with the Cardinals.

On Dec. 26 -- well before the Petrino children had graduated from high school -- he interviewed with LSU to replace Saban.

On Jan. 1, 2005, when it became obvious that he'd lost out to Les Miles, Petrino pulled out of consideration...

In 2005, Petrino interviewed with the Oakland Raiders. That's after telling people for years that he had no interest in coaching the pros...

On July 13, 2006, Petrino signed a 10-year contract worth up to $25 million...The day he signed it, Petrino vowed again that Louisville was home...Five months later, he was gone to Atlanta.

On Nov. 26, (2006) Petrino told the Associated Press that he was staying in Atlanta. "I haven't given it [college coaching vacancies] one bit of thought," he said.
There are plenty of dicks in college football, but Bobby Petrino is Jonah Falcon.

What does Kiffin leaving have anything to do with him talking trash before last season?

Lame couldn't hang with the big boys.

Nothing worse than while telling players that you're leaving and you try to get the EE players to not start classes tomorrow and join him at USC.

USC has enough on their plates let alone this ponzy scheme.

It's funny I went over to VolCountry and they seem to think they are going to steal saban from alabama lmao!

What does this even mean?

He just got one of the "biggest boy" jobs in college football.

SoCal will be fine...i fully expect they will feel some sanctions in a month, and rightfully so, but they are still an elite football school. Not sure where a ponzi scheme comes into all this...unless Kiffin is paying someone some money from someone else...which makes no sense in this scenario.

I think he meant he can't hang in the SEC. My friends and I were talking about this. USC has to be the easiest big job in college football as you don't have near the competition for recruits and get to play in the PAC-10.
