Yep those hardcore and classy Rider fans didn't even wait around for the presentation. I know it's cold but what's an extra 15 minutes?

15 less minutes they're able to load up at Walmart and the liquor store PST free, and fill up the F-150 with something other then purple, at a cheap price, for their border run.

They are complete losers. True CFL fans would stay for the presentation. Shows you that they are only Rider fans...and only when the team does well, at that.

Didn't even sell out their home playoff game when it looked like they were headed nowhere.

Durant choked hard in the last minute of the fourth qtr. I was surprised he was able to avoid the sack.

I thought for sure they were going to blow the whistle and call the play dead once he got wrapped up.

I was happy overall with the game went to the last minute both teams gave there all, a great rematch classic. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of fans to stay for the Grey Cup to be awarded, it reminded me back in 89' when the Flames won in the Forum. The Canadiens fans are all cocky about their championships, being a rematch from the 86' series, fighting in 88' and 89' all season to be the best team in the NHL there was a real rivalry between the two teams, and fans. Yet when we won the cup Canadien fans stayed and cheered, I look at Commonwealth stadium 4 times the size and empty seats everywhere.

no class Riders fans, except for the few that did stay

From the twitters:

Is ETS going to hose down the inside of the LRT trains overnight to get rid of the smell of Rider fans?

Haha what a great way to wake up this morning, couldn't happen to a better team. Still bitter about all the signs the sask fans' had in Calgary during last years grey cup.

Stay classy Riders.

well if a horrible quarterback can lead a team to the greycup in his first two full years it's quite reasonable to understand why some rider fans choose to ignore it.it does kinda suck that durant didn't lead the league in any other caterories like rushing or yards thrown or anything like that this season.

afterall the most outstanding player was not that far behind in the interception category.

I was happy that it was even that close.. Montreal has a great squad.

Durant threw about as good as he did all season.. nothing really the Riders could have done more, Montreal just played a great game. Good for them, they earned it.

In typical Rider fan fashion... there is always next year

I will say one thing though, maybe I am just blind to the way some Rider fans act, but I am embarassed to say that many of the same people in this thread cheer for the same Hockey team as me. You want to call a fan base classless, that is fine, but you could show a little yourselves.

A little class? Coming from the fans that called out Calgary for not selling out the Western Final when you couldn't sell out your own building for the Semi? The infatuation and hate you all have for Burris who is in fact one of the nicest people you will ever meet and a great guy? The classy fans that screwed Burris over with the bra picks and rubbed it in Henry and his family's faces? The self proclaimed best fans in the league that were as quiet as crickets for three decades outside of the last four years? The self proclaimed greatest fans that make it impossible to take your kids to a Riders/Stamps game due to the drunken stupor the majority of your fans get into making the game an 'R' rated experience in the stands?

All I can say is yes, yes you are blind.

You forgot the same fan base that dumped beer on Duval's wife and family last year so they didn't see the finish of the game, and the same fan base that at least two Als players have "tweeted" about classless behaviour at this Grey Cup.

As for the actual game, without considerable help from the refs the Riders can't beat the elite. That's been proven.

And all of this gives Stamp fans a free pass to act like idiots as well?

Sorry doesn't work that way. Rider fans might look like idiots to you guys, but in this thread Stamp fans aren't being represented much better.

Peace out.

You are right it doesn't work out that way as Stamps fans in general are very classy fans amongst the classiest in the league and have finished with the 2nd best leaguewide attendance for two decades now. As much as some of us may call Burris a choker in the playoffs we've never done one of the most dispicable acts in the history of North American fans and dumped manure on his lawn. You can't win this argument so let it die. There's too much evidence that points to the truth.

Tough loss to a great team. congratulations Montreal - you are truly the class of this league right now. The game was entertaining, the Grey Cup snacking was good, I cant ask for much more!
