I can live with that, people leave people all the time but walking away from your two year old child and moving to the other side of the planet makes her a POS.
I hope she gets eaten by a pack of rabid dingos.

Hard to say. There is something fundamentally creepy to me about spiders. I blame John Goodman and Arachnaphobia (the movie) but really it could be anything.

You are right, it is irrational. It is funny how we have those kinds of fears. Spiders don't scare me outside of the house, but I hate them in the house.

When I was in Central America there were these HUGE 4 inch cockroaches that were in the house, and that fell from the roof in the shower. They were massive, and these tiny little ants ate them - all in the house.

I saw a lizard in the house which didn't appeal to me either. When I was in the bush or at the zoo those things fascinated me. I kicked the cockroaches outside the house and you could here them hit the ground after you kick them.

I saw a brown taranchula (I have no idea what they are called) that was in a barrow. Didn't bug me one bit. If it was in the house it would have bothered me though

After seeing those cockroaches and that foot long lizard in the house down there, spiders in the house didn't bug me very much.

I just wanted to say thank you to whoever put the disclaimer of the pictures of spiders for this thread.

I dare not tread through these deadly waters looking for you, but you know who you are!

Hahaha, that would have been me. After hearing so many people freak, I figured I'd better slap a warning in the title.

And now let's play a game of spot the spider! This is probably my favourite pic of all the pics I've ever taken. I love seeing the looks on people's faces when they realize they aren't just looking at a flower.

Wow, at least there's lots of poisonous snakes, spiders, and sea creatures. Not to mention sharks, moray eels, and crocodiles...

I had a good time in Malaysia all the while blissfully unaware that these beasts were on the prowl. Now I never want to go back. Thank you sir.

Not a spider, but this is probably an appropriate thread for this story.

^I think the photo on the Herald site is a file photo. They showed pictures of the actual snake that was found in the guy's apartment on TV this morning. It was a much darker colour.

That is the kind of stuff that drives me nuts! Seriously, how does one let his 8 foot Albino Burmese Python wander loose to escape into someone elses apartment??? Then because they are not a common pet the media makes a big stink about it and people who have little or false information about these types of pets go apes**t and the responsible and dedicated owners of these types of pets are the ones that suffer the consequences. I love the way the media always has to jump all over it, you would not hear a single thing about it if this guy found someones dog in his apartment.
