The problem is what if that theft of identity keeps me from buying a house? Or ends up selling my current house from underneath me?
Then it becomes a question of which bar let your info leak out?
The more I think about it; the more I realize it was a bad idea.

Paul Vickers. He owns Pennylan Entertainment which owns Cowboys, Tantra, The Roadhouse (?), Ceili's, Coyotes, and something else I think.

Also, IANAL but don't think the bar can have you sign a waiver to let them do anything they want. Even if you have signed it, if you can prove negligence (for one thing) on their part, you can still sue. It does prevent you from trying to sue by saying, "I wasn't aware that (fill in blank)", but you can still sue for other causes.

Thanks for that post. That was interesting.
I seem to recall Futureshop taking down pretty much everything but your dog's name whenever you buy something. I would think clubs can get around this rule saying you have to sign up to be allowed in, and here is the application. And make the club a "Members Only" thing. It's a pain in the ass at first, but at least they would know who is causing trouble if it ever starts.

Exactly. What if your employer found out you weren't at the jobsite like you said you were. What if your SO found out you were there with so-and-so.
The concept is good, but in practice there are just too many things that can go wrong.

I am kinda having a hard time with the solution to this problem. I'm trying to think about this from all angles.
Say you open up a western-themed bar, and on weekend nights, a bunch of bikers and metalheads come in. That is certainly not the demographic you want for your club.
Or if you open up a lounge and it starts filling up with guys only, and it ends up looking like a sausage party. You wouldn't like that either.
If Paul Vickers or whoever opened up a club called "Cowboys" and he wants only a certain demographic in there, then he should be allowed, I think. It's his club, and if he doesn't want it to be filled with too many non-cowboys, it should be his decision who he wants to let into his club.
And us "colored" people are free to spend our $$$ somewhere else.

Add Chicago Chophouse and Zen 8 to that list (I think) and take out The Roadhouse. I beleive Chris Dobson "Dobber" owns the Roadhouse

Yeah, but you shouldn't need to. If you want to go in there, then do so. The last thing anyone should want is to feel marginalized because of race. If that happens then who knows, someone may decide to fight back by buying 3 tonnes of fertilizer to blow up a building.

True. But really, I can't see why people would want to hang out in a place that they are obviously not welcome at. It boggles the mind.
On the other hand, I would hate to end up seeing a law enacted that says you need x amount of whites, blacks, asians, etc. in your club. The easiest solution would be for people who are not welcome to just NOT GO. Why get offended and try and force your way into a place that doesn't want you there? And that goes not only for people of various races, but for nerds, geeks, head-bangers, skaters, goths, and really large women.

The Chophouse and Zen 8. He was trying to attain the palace back when it was good. I don't believe he owns the roadhouse. It is owned by some old bugger who wears cheap suits. The owner, with the backup of 3 bouncers, tried picking a fight with a group of us one night. I was trying to convince him to hit us. I told him it would be great because I would his bar when he was done. He was losing his mind-all because my buddy commented about his cheap suit. What a night!!!

And are big, fake titties exclusive to only these clubs or something? Someone could open a bar and hire girls with huge fake tits to be waitresses.
Go down 17th Ave...titties, titties everywhere! Titties in your hair! Titties are not rare, nor are they exclusive to only one bar/nightclub.

That wasn't my point. You asked why people go to these places and titties are the answer.

pff whatever. Hot chicks are everywhere in this town, not exclusively trapped in a nightclub. Plus those girls are weak. You try conversing with most of them, and they all think they're better then everybody. What's the point? Get over yourself.
Me = bitter.
edit- the best though is when they find out you have money.... that's always fun. It's like night and day in terms of behaviour.
