Good to see its living up to the hype. 360 has some great looking titles coming up. PS3 games just don't seem all that interesting to me.

I ordered Gears of War and CoD 3 from Futureshop yesterday... hopefully I get them before 2-3 weeks... I'm sure they're out of stock for a while, and I'm probably last in the pre-order que.

For me once the Bonuses come in around March, I will be getting a 360 and a Wii.

2 completely different systems, plus if the Wii contoller works like its supposed to than alternative sports game, tennis, olympics, boxing etc could become Atari wicked again.

Just checked FS online, looks like release date for Gears of War was pushed back from today to November 9th... hopefully I get these games before the end of the month

Genji: Days of the Blade.

-consensus is decent graphics but not up to par with what next gen should or could be. Some beautiful graphical work but also a lot of rough edges. Gameplay and content is poor.

- PS3 version suffers from sever frame rate issues that make the game seem unfinished. 360 game has more options, superior online play and is the more complete package.
-Even with 250 MB of game content loading to the PS3 hardrive load times are not faster than the 360 (a consequence of the slower Bluray drive I'm guessing). It got a higher 7.9/10 for the 360. The first head to head goes to the 360 according to gamespot.
-7/10 from IGN (7.8/10 for the 360 version) " It's certainly disappointing that the PlayStation 3 is so far behind the Xbox 360 game."

Gears of War is averagining about 9.5/10 among reviewers. It is very much considered a title that will move consoles. Already considered one of the best games of all time and really puts the pressure on Bungie to deliver a superb game with Halo 3.

I'd have to classify this as some bad news for PS3:

-NBA Live 07 once thought to be a launch game (though never made the official launch list of 21) has been completely cancelled.

-Oblivion expected to be a launch game has been pushed back to first quarter. Issues in developing games for the PS3 may be the reason. Not a good sign if Sony wants to maintain 3rd party developer support...especially for smaller companies.

-F.E.A.R. a well reviewed PC shooter last year that made its way to the 360 in recent weeks is thought to have been pushed back to atleast February.

-Sonic the Hedgehog is also expected to be pushed back to somteime 2007.

So that appears to be 3 of the 21 launch games that won't make the launch (i.e. before the end of the year).
