As for above, Morin was recalled and played well tonight I thought.

Jesus, someone take their friend group or family to a Wranglers game and fill a few of those bare seats. Embarrassing looking attendance for a pro hockey town.

They need to check their pricing. I would go in a heartbeat just not at these prices

Something kinda interesting, last nights game between the Ontario Reign and Wranglers featured former Stockton Heat alumni Koltrane Wilson as the referee.

Attendance has been bad this year so far, I have missed a few games being out of town for work but they are averaging 2500 or so, I think last year was 4000+ for most games except for a few storm/extremely cold games.
The ticket pricing is part of the problem for sure, regular price for an adult is $45, so for a couple to go out it'll be $200+ if you have food and a drink or 2.
Also the food/drinks suck, after going to games in Montreal and Winnipeg.... the Dome offerings are junk. except the ice cream...

Too many families are financially stretched to pay $45 per ticket for a weekday AHL game. Then include full price concessions and parking.
Attendance is already down 25% this year

Yeah, saw that too. I understand he started in the BCHL just a few years ago and has rapidly moved up the ranks.

$45??? Make it a flat fee of $15 a ticket for the Wranglers, I think that's completely reasonable, and doesn't burn through people's wallets. You'll get more people to the Dome too. Then again, it's not my team, so maybe I should just take my logic elsewhere.

With the profit margins they make off drinks, concessions, etc, why have the entrance so high?
Should be half that much. Same approach as stampede. Getting people to the grounds is what matters most, because they'll burn their cash once there.
Plus, if you make it reasonable enough that you attract a lot of first timers, they'll be more likely to be satisfied with the value of the ticket and come back with family and friends.

45 a ticket used to be what I'd pay for my seats in the greens about a decade ago.
That for an AHL game, hard pass.

Interestingly, lower bowl single game tickets for the Canadian AHL teams is all over the place. Abbotsford is $20-30, Belleville is $50+, Manitoba is $30-40, Laval is $70+, and the Marlies are $50-60. Lower bowl single tickets for the good American teams isn't any less expensive than the Wranglers - Cleveland, Hershey, Coachella, and Chicago are all $50+ CAD
Pricing it like the Canucks and selling $20 tickets would be nice, but I'm assuming Edwards isn't trying to cannibalize attendance figures and game revenue of his more valuable hockey franchises.

I guess it's ownerships call on how to operate. The empty seats during the games, speaks for itself. They are just checking to see if the market can support this team without touching the hitmen and the flames. Maybe $45 bucks in a new arena.
