From the OOT:

“Even the new, somewhat improved Gru is still good for about one stinker a game on average.“

Add that to the list of complaints every team thinks is just about their team, just like rookies scoring their first goal against them, playing down to bad teams, and not being consistent.

Thought the same thing.

Often a team on a losing streak has a decent loss before turning the corner.

Nice to see a W for a change. Enjoying the kids in the lineup and adds some intrigue with the team. Going to enjoy it for what it is because who knows what this season will be like. Always great to see us ahead E = NG.

Also Noah Hanifin played his best game of the season.

Making the type of plays he can and that we sorely lacked from the back end.

Just really strange as I thought the contract was causing his lackluster play but he puts up his best game after waking away from a deal people thought was too high.

Two overlapping possibilities: The negotiations were a distraction and now that UFA is a higher chance, he needs to play well to warrant a payday. Should apply to Lindholm too, but so far it hasn't.

It's great seeing the young guys playing. This team is much more fun to watch with them in the lineup.

Flames seemed to play with a lot more pace in this game. They skated harder and moved the puck faster and harder. They had been so soft in those first few games of the losing streak. Nice to see the past couple of games that they are really starting to move the puck.

Team has a chance to climb back into the thick of things if Huberdeau and Linholm can figure things out.

I hate Huberdeau but he looks miles better than Johnny Bench at the moment.

The Kadri line's speed and chemistry is the closest thing we've gotten to the old gaudreau lines since Johnny was still a Flame.

Fun to watch. I hope they keep it up.

I gotta say, I kinda like the Kraken fans. They seem to have that cynicism already.

The Vegas fans arent there yet but those Kraken guys? I think they understand suffering.

Sharangovich continues to get better with each game.

Hanifin's best game of the year.

Vladar gets Ws. "Just win, baby"

Solid effort all around, really liked their pace tonight.

Also, WTF was Millen on about with the Kraken being a tired hockey team? THey have been home since Monday night. They have played 7 road games so far, just like the Flames (and both have had an eastern swing). The Flames were the road team last night, and were down a man since the first, but somehow we are supposed to feel sorry for the Kraken?

Just like fans, the media never gives the Flames credit for playing well - it is always shaded with talk about the other team playing poorly.

Maybe because they kinda had to be Canucks fans for such a long time.

But also because Vegas never has, and maybe never will, be made to suffer the same trials that the rest of the league does. If your team stinks, just steal from everyone else until you're good again and bury your problems on LTIR island. Easy!

That's because they're Seattle sports fans. Seahawks, Mariners, the defunct Sonics, all they know is pain.

I am always happy the Flames win, but now would be a good time to sell high on Hanifin.
