Flames need to add a top-3 forward, not a top-9 forward.

If he doesn’t come back, I think it speaks to organizational problems. Would be a hell of a thing to watch two elite players and the GM all bail on the team within 12 months of each other.

I agree, but I don't think the Flames can make plans around him coming back this season. Even if he does come back, he's not going to be up to game speed for at least 10-15 games.
