7 years is obviously long, but IMO there will always be an Arizona level team that needs to take on a big salary for the last year or 2 if need be.

Crash and Bang Winger

I don't care about the term AT ALL.
I could get hit by a bus tomorrow.
All I want is to watch meaningful, exciting hockey. I have confidence the team can adjust in the years to come, and it's not my job to worry about how they handle problems that are 1,825 days or more away.
Just enjoy the ride.

That guy is just so...annoying. That's about as nice as I can put it.

Could Care Less

After the Huberdeau steal I thought that the forward group looked incomplete, but D and G could still power the team to win the division. Center depth a real issue
No longer
BOA is gonna be legendary the next few years.

I'm glad that Looch isn't the odd man out either it sounds like. He is a favorite of mine even if he is overpaid. Hope he sticks around for a couple years at league minimum after this year.

I am thinking 4 to 5 years of fun before it crashes down hard. But as many have said, we will likely accept a full tear down rebuild by then anyways as part of a natural cycle all teams have to go through every 10+ years or so. With that tear down will be the end of the BT era. Meanwhile we are all in!
Many of us called for major changes to our core after disastrous 20-21 season and even when we fell behind 2-1 in Stars series this year. Well it has been done.

And I’d rather have Lucic than Monahan. Perfect.

I'm actually pretty excited. If the team isn't going to rebuild then swing for the fences. Some of these deals might age really poorly but the next 2-3 years the Flames have a team that should be at the top of the league. Hopefully Sutter can make everything click.

My guess is cash component is front loaded. So it's similar to Lucic. In 3-4 years from now. Any team to acq Kadri is paying a million of real cash to get up to a cap floor (that will be increasing).

I'm betting Valimaki (would need waivers to stay up anyway) and a mid round pick
