I think this speaks to the way people reacted during the hot streak last year. Some people talked like Elliott had gone full Miikka, when in reality, all he had done was go from bad to really good (and it seemed amazing on a relative basis).

But really good is what we should be able to expect from a goalie.

Was just a one off shift from what I’ve seen. Bennett got some PK time, so GG was likely just getting Steeger some ice.

Steeger is also hauling ass, so it could be a reward.
