40% on possession while eating up 62% offensive zone starts. He costs the team possession and that results in a tougher time for every other pairing. If you're on the ice for a save that results in a defensive zone faceoff, you won't get the minus if the team gets scored on the next shift but you could have given your team a better chance to not get scored on by not being hemmed in as usual.

Hartley has no excuse for giving Russell so many minutes.
