How grateful are we that Brian Burke hired Treliving as a useless puppet, then sat there pulling all the strings. Burke is some kinda genius.

If those four cost 6, and you are 750k for the other, you still only have 3 million left.
And those 4 will cost more like 7 than 6,imo
Unless he signs them all to 1 year deals? Bit risky but if he did that I think he could keep it at 6 or less. He also can decide that after July 1 too. Sign Sharp/Marleau to 4 mil deal he could choose to sign all of them to 1 year deals or maybe bury Stajan in AHL if he can't keep them under the cap

Burke picked a great GM!!! At one point KK and co. picked Feaster to run this team

Well technically he took over Sutter, but still he was picked to run the team.

I feel like we got fortunate various key contracts came up - we signed our stars before it seems McDavid is going to reset expectations. With McDavid getting what he does and hearing what the likes of Draisaitl, Johanson might command, Monahan and Gaudreau would surely have cost more this year or next if that's when they happened to come up. We all sort of thought the Gio cap was silly, but we've more or less stuck to it!! Combined with value contracts like Brodie and Hamonic, we sit pretty for years, when our window to win opens.

Fantastic stuff.

Or Sharp signs a 1 year 2 M dollar contract to go for the win with his old Hawk buddies...

Happy Canada Day everyone!

Sometimes this organization baffles me. To think there was actually some serious doubt as to whether Treliving would even be renewed after the season ended.

There is no evidence that there was any doubt inside the organization. The doubt came from one (1) reporter and a bunch of panicky fans.

And by "this organization" you mean random, based on nothing, speculation?

Treliving likes to make trades. Thats exciting as a fan, if you like that kind of thing.

He still hasnt fixed the goalie problem.

He signed Brouwer.

Feaster drafted Johnny Hockey.

Getting back on track now, the next couple of seasons will paint a clearer picture of how good of a GM he is.

Yeap. We should definitely bring Feaster back.

I like cake, that's exciting as a cake shop owner since I like that kind of thing.

I still haven't fixed the leaking faucet.

I bought a new car.

Dad gave me half the down payment to buy my house.

Getting on track now, next couple of years will paint a clearer picture of how good on an adult I am.

How's the mileage? Daily driver or something fun for special occasions(mid life crisis ftw)?

That's awesome your family helped you it's almost impossible to get ahead for a lot of people coming up these days unassisted.

You should use the slogan "where every day is cake day!" for your shop, and hope that some redditor comes and gives you _real_ gold

There's only three things I would criticize about the current roster:

1) Brouwer should be swapped with a top RW
2) Stajan should not still be under contract
3) The goalie tandem should be a little more proven

Other than these things, it's a great line-up.

"Oh get a top RW, just get a top RW. Why doesn't he strap on his top RW helmet, squeeze down into the top RW cannon and fire off into top RW-land where top RW's grow on RWees."

Seriously though, I don't think Treliving could've done any better this offseason. Hit it out of the park on every move.
