It will probably be made this afternoon, though they can wait until tomorrow if they want.

Looks like the league wants this to become an all out gong show, so be it.

They might as well book the meeting room for Wednesday morning then.
I hope to see the Sedins get the Bennett treatment tomorrow night.

That's disturbing. A clear head shot doesn't warrant a hearing?
Sad times for the NHL.

Hamhuis is the only one I thought maybe deserved it. If he's not getting it, no one is.
The NHL maintains its stance of punishing the result instead of the action. Clownshoe "player safety" department.

It makes no matter, Ferland has taken a page from Marchand, Bolland and Byfuglien. The book is out on how to beat the Canucks. The Nuckies can't handle the agitators.

I doubt anybody is suspended. I don't really care if anyone is suspended. The more antics the Canucks pull, the better the Flames seem to play.

Don't sink to the Nucks level.
Stick to the game plan, hammer them all over the ice. If Vancouver gets dirty again and goes after Bennett/Gaudreau, then you react.
If the league is really letting everything from last night slide, we better get ready for a game with a plethora of penalties on Tuesday.

Not quite true - he should at least (imo) now become an 'offender', so that if he does it again, the suspension will come for sure. That is how the NHL seems to roll anyways - first time offenders committing a head-shot - but not causing serious injury - get a warning. Do I think it is right? No - I think he SHOULD get suspended, but it won't happen (and as Sureloss posted - no hearing unfortunately). What he did at the end of game 2 didn't seem to be reviewed at all from the league's head office, so unfortunately that didn't count as a mulligan (though I do agree it should have).
Sorry, I should have made it clear in my post earlier that it was what I thought WOULD happen, not what I thought SHOULD happen. I think legitimately all 3 are probably deserving suspensions by the letter of the law, and that Dejardins should get his first offence (whatever that is - warning? First-offence fine? Not sure what it is). I am just thinking that Burrows will be the only one to get anything, and even that is not a given. He at least has that history, so I can only assume he will get something.

I didn't think Hamhuis would get penalized after he got a free pass in game 2, but I will be ticked off if they scratch Burrows' instigator. He CLEARLY instigated that fight with Russell

Apparently they want this series to get even more out of hand.

It's well established that Edmonton is no good, and their organization creates a black hole of suck for any player that is enveloped in its grasp. The only way to break free from this gravitional force is to leave.
I would like to propose another theorem, that Vancouver creates a black-hole of scum-baggery. When did Hamhuis become such a puke? He was a national team defenseman and now he's cheap shotting everyone. Lack is a flop. Richardson is a joke. Bo Horvat is a good player and seems like a quality individual but at this point I'm just waiting for this virus to infect him and turn him into Kesler 2.0

The reason that's so bad is because players will not admit injury and will do whatever it takes to keep playing. Punishing based on outcome when players will conceal the outcome is the pinnacle of stupidity. I hate the NHL so much, no regard for the health of their employ and overall incompetence.

The only suspension I'd want to see is Hamhuis. Bieksa and Burrows are huge liabilities for the Canucks and serve us better on the roster. Desjardins should be fined 1.5x what Hartley was, and that fine increase should continue game after game until the series ends.

How there is no discipline for the hit to the head is beyond me.
*Department of player safety meeting*
"Well, that was clearly a head-shot, what do we do?"
"Let's do nothing"
"..."
"Because its the Cup!"
And they laugh and laugh

Yup. Especially if the Flames win next game. Amazing they can let the Canucks get away with a blatant head shot to a future star in the League. Brutal.
