Refereeing was atrocious though ... Hamburg was extremely lucky. Behrami should have been sent off twice at least. Haven't seen a dirtier game by a single player in a long time.

Leverkusen have released center back Emir Spahic today. He headbutted a security guy after their cup vs Bayern on Wednesday and the club decided to cut ties with the player. Hats off to them, I'm sure other clubs would have handled that differently ... he was a key member of their team, after all.

Klopp steps down as Dortmund coach after the season. Kudos to him, it's the right decision. Thomas Tuchel is the favourite to replace him again - he already took over from Klopp in Mainz a few years ago.

Looking forward to Klopp having a greater budget so his best players don't continually get bought from him

oh Pep ... this is stupid beyond belief. Müller-Wohlfahrt is kind of a legend here in Europe when it comes to sport injuries, not only footballers consult him. He's a godsend to have at a football club ... after the whole Thiago fiasco, one would think Pep had learned his lesson when it comes to injuries and trusting your team doctors.

he hasn't been hired yet, he's just the odds-on favourite right now. Paulo Sousa has also been mentioned in the press.

Holger Badstuber has suffered another injury setback. The Bayern Munich defender will undergo surgery after suffering a muscular injury in his left thigh during the 6-1 win against Porto on Tuesday, his club announced.
Badstuber, who is set for up to four months on the sidelines, said that he was "disappointed at the moment," but vowed to come back again.

what a game in the German cup between Bayern and Dortmund ... Bayern dominate the game, but waste a lot of chances and Dortmund somehow tie the game. Extra time, Kampl is sent off but Bayern can't capitalise. The game goes to penalties and Bayern miss 4 (!!!) straight penalties. Dortmund win 2-0 and reach the final.

Bayern's depth is going to be sorely tested after that loss.

Uh oh, looks like Bayern might swoop in and ruin LvG's day.
Quote:
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said the club would be willing to sell midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to Bayern Munich this summer.
Manchester United were reported to have agreed a deal with the Germany international, but Zorc strongly denied those rumours, and ESPN FC was informed that both Bayern and Juventus were in the running for his signature.
However, it appeared that the "ice age" between the German powerhouses may have ended this week, and Zorc said his club would be willing to do business with Bayern over Gundogan.
Asked whether the player could join the Bundesliga champions, Zorc told Sky it would "not decide the war" -- a phrase meaning it would not make a difference.
