If that video doesn't make you think that doing something about climate change is important then I don't know what to say.
The economics he raises. He quotes dollars. I call bull on that. For one, he was less than convincing that the results would be "hell on earth". Second, we barely understand the economics of healthcare, now we claim that the economic costs of "hell on earth" is the easy part? The "natural progression of that basic fact"? Total, complete, and utter BS. The lack of scientific and logical rigor is astounding. It calls into question the entire thesis.

And yes, you DO need an economics degree to make that connection, and have any credibility whatsoever. Kinda like how you need a science degree in a climate related subject to have any credibility in climate science.

Interesting take on how the move to green energy is impacting the German economy:

You cannot legislate the shift to green power, what is happening in Germany is predictable.

People always underestimate the earth's natural ability to cleanse itself.

You mean like Lake Erie or the Love Canal or Chernobyl or the tar sands or Lake Karachay or the North Pacific Gyre or the Gulf of Mexico dead zone?

People always underestimate the impact that we humans can have on our environment and our ability to make it inhabitable.

Well, one very effective way for the earth to "cleanse itself" would be to kill off all of the creatures creating harm. We probably shouldn't underestimate it's ability to do that.

There was a 2-page ad taken out in the Herald today (which they decided to call everyone's attention to on the front page) by some oilfield geologist about how it's all a big hoax, full of all the usual misrepresentations - good for a laugh but unfortunately a lot of people probably just lap it up. Your average climate scientist couldn't afford to take out a 2-page ad in a major newspaper for a rebuttal, but of course they're the ones who are supposedly making up their conclusions for money.

I don't think anyone is concerned that the Earth is going to crumble and dissolve as a result of environmental damage. The real repurcussion of global warming is a planet that is unable to sustain life as we know it. The rock we call home itself will be just fine just as it's always been.

Could be connected to these geniuses:
