So tomorrow free agency opens.. I bet Fantuz goes East, either Hamilton or Toronto. Not sure which one he will choose. I don't think he will be a Rider and with the money that he will demand I am fine with that. We can use that money at other positions

EDIT: although if he did decide to stay in Regina I would be totally fine with that too.

What do you mean by the bolded? Because we're supposedly paying Labatte $200k that means Fantuz is done?

I'd be friggin surprised if Fantuz even got $200k a season!! Or is that totally wrong? My understanding is that top end receivers make about that much.

I think there are reports saying that he has turned down offers from the Riders that would see him making top-end receiver money. I think he is in for a big payday from somebody.

That part isn't really new. Most people have Andy pegged to go back home.

What I'm curious about is if the Labatte signing was deemed priority over Fantuz and/or if the Labatte signing means there is no more money left to even make a competitive offer to Fantuz. This would all be in Drake's opinion or based on news he's got that I haven't seen yet.
