I never said they would. Bama still probably wins 6 times out of 10. But without McCoy, Texas wins 0 times out of 10.
Texas' defense has done pretty well considering their offense is going 3 and out every drive since McCoy got knocked out. It's pretty hard to completely shut out a power running team when you're on the field the entire half. And that doesn't even factor the emotional loss of having your best player knocked out of the game. Just look at the intensity in Texas' D before McCoy got knocked out and after.

Semi OT: I love watching Running Backs, the plays, the slo-mo replays the fakes and cuts. Hands down my favourite part of football.

Yeah that was a panic induced disaster for Texas there.

There's your game unless McCoy comes back.

This is too bad that the season is going to come down to this. If McCoy is in there, than Texas is definitely still in this game. But as soon as he went out there was panic on the entire team and I think they mentally defeated themselves when they saw it.

The commentators brought up a pretty good point that never even entered my mind. Colt is going into the draft and is going to be a high pick regardless if they win or lose tonight, he might just take care of himself and not come back even if he was close to being able to.
And who could blame him?

So if McCoy's hurt bad (I am guessing seperated shoulder or broken collarbone), does that affect his draft? WIth Bradford also having shoulder issues, and Clausen being from Notre Dame (don't have to be a SEA fan to remember Mirer), and Locker back to UW, the top QB pick could be up for grabs.

I doubt it.
If he was so concerned about the NFL he wouldn't have come back for his senior season in hopes of winning a National Title.
There's some injuries you just can't come back from. Especially shoulder injuries to a QB.

If it's a collarbone or a separation I don't see it affecting his draft stock at all, if there some tearing of ligaments or muscle or something, then maybe.
Jevan Snead from Ole Miss declared for the draft today too, so there's another one in the pot.
Good year for the Bills to suck it up

The problem is Bama thought they won after the first half, they've played like garbage in the second. Hopefully this will wake them up and they can perhaps string together a few first downs.
