The Riders on the other hand have been historically the least successful CFL franchise so now that they are fielding a competitive team there's a big love-in and they think they are the best fans in the game despite the fact that it wasn't long ago that the Riders were barely getting 20k fans to games. We will see how great attendance is when the team get's back to their historical performance of bottom dweller.

Exactly. I'm not questioning their passion, but from a strictly ticket sales point of view, they couldn't even sell out the smallest stadium in the league(before the Als moved to Percival anyway) until a couple years ago when they got a contender. Let em talk, its what they're known for. God I hate that team.
On a side note, how pathetic are Edmonton's franchises when they're not even Calgary's arch-rivals in CFL(Riders) or NHL(Cansucks) anymore? I've lived in Edmonton 5 years now and they hate us soooo much more than we hate them. Kinda sad really, in a hilarious way.
