Just a note, HBO Canada is showing the entire season 7 right now before the finale.

I missed an episode or two but there are 6-7 remaining before the finale.

You know what?

Kind of disappointed. Too much build-up for very minimal actual Seinfeld return.

I know they were trying to push this as a CURB episode, not a SEINFELD one, but, still... I wish they had have showed some longer segments of the group in the actual Seinfeld show. That, and ended the episode with the Seinfeld music.

Let Down.

That sums up my opinion of the season (who knows? maybe Series) Finale.

The Seinfeld aspect wasn't really funny and not near enough of it. The actuall "Curb" show was pretty lame too. There were a few funny bits but only mildly. The funniest part may have been the "ring stain" investigation Larry was doing with Suzie's end table.

I realize they have limited time to work different character into the show, Having said that, I would have thought they'd have been able to work in some minor apperances by Leon, FunkHauser, Newman and maybe even Banya.....But they didn't. Also, Jerry Stiller would have been a Fantastic cameo!!......even if without any lines..it would have been great to see him.

All in all, I'm Disappointed as well.

Hahah. AWESOME. Well done sir.

I actually loved the episode last night, thought it was brilliant and definitely felt "Seinfeld-esque". The whole "respecting wood" discussion was awesome.

The funny thing was I didn't even realize it was the finale until I was erasing it from my PVR. Too bad the season went by so quick as always

Well I have to disagree with the majority here, I thought it was great! I thought it was awesome how they basically dedicated the last 10 minutes to showing the Seinfeld episode. Of course I would've liked to have seen more, but over-all I was fine with it, it was Curb after all, with its own storylines, not Seinfeld. And holy cow was Jason Alexander ever in the zone as George Costanza! He's definitely still got it. That really made me miss the show.

And of course there were some beauty lines too: "You busied me with your beans!", and just for memory's sake, I loved LD's George-esque line "I see you! Laughin and lying!" Oh and his attempt at playing George was priceless. I miss LD already...

EDIT: I also liked how, even though in this day and age it seems ridiculous for current shows, they added a laugh track when they showed Seinfeld. I was actually wondering if they'd do that or not before I saw it. It woulda just seemed weird without it, considering that's how its always been. Nice touch.

A couple great moments in the finale. Jerry saying "Larry David, wood detective" cracked me up pretty good.

Cheryl and Larry talking about being busied by beans was classic.

Also thought the Seinfeld angle was played out pretty well. A lot more actual Seinfeld was shown than what I thought would be.

I'm glad you liked it. (Sainters7)

For me the Seinfeld stuff wasn't "Funny Seinfeld" and the "Curb" wasn't that funny either.

I think the "Curb" cast was muted and just not funny, Jeff Garlin's character was not the usuall Jeff. Suzie was funny but that's about it.

I almost think David "toned down" the "Curb" aspect to try and draw more attention to, and make reperations for, the "Seinfeld" FINALE.

12 years have come and gone and they took another stab at it!...... they still didn't get it right. IMHO.

Please don't get me wrong here, This season 7 of Curb was the best!

They simply (again[seinfeld]) screwed up the finale. Believe me, I'll be re-watching episode 1 - 10 of this show for months to come!

I thought the finale was average, as was the whole season, with high points and lows. My favorite of the season was the premiere; I rank that amongst the top episodes of all time.

Chances are looking stronger that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will be back for an eighth season.
At Sunday's William S. Paley Festival in Los Angeles, Larry David told a nearly sold-out crowd that there was a "pretty good chance" the HBO sitcom would return.

Traditionally, the cabler keeps the door open for "Curb" to come back, but it's totally dependent on whether David, who stars and creates an outline for all the episodes, wants to give it another go. The seventh season's storyline reunited the "Seinfeld" cast.

David told the aud that if the show does continue, guest star JB Smoove would likely return and that he would give consideration to an arc concerning the Toyota Prius he drives on the show.

Gotta love the LD. Awesome! I always thought it would be cool if he ended up doing 9 seasons, the exact same as Seinfeld. Didn't think he'd make it that far, but now it may actually end up that way. Just a continuously hilarious show.

Wicked...I was even thinking after hearing all this Prius/Toyata news that it would be sweet if they incorporated it into "Curb". Every time I see a Prius I think Larry David.

Which season(s) are the best? I have only watched season 7 and a few ep's from season 6.

You can't go wrong with any of the seasons really, they are all great. The two that stand out for me however are seasons four, and six.

Honestly, I'm not trying to be one of those fans who's like "they're all good!!!!!". But you can't really go wrong with any of them. Its like Seinfeld too in the sense where you don't really need to watch the seasons in order(though I'd suggest watching the episodes in order, as the entire season follows a story arc).

If you really like Leon, then stick with season 6 for now, as he's only in 6 & 7. Otherwise just grab any of them. It's been so long since I've watched the older ones, but I don't ever remember thinking "meh, that season was ok". It's just consistently been good since the beginning.

My personal favourite would probably be season 4, where the story arc is Larry starring in the Producers, but you really can't go wrong with any season. I'd suggest starting at the beginning and watching them all.

I think 4 would have to be my favorite as well

but as others have said all of them are great, and they are short seasons as well

you can get through them all pretty quickly

Haha ohhh, yeah that was a good season! It's been so long since I watched them that I honestly can't remember what happened in each season. The season 4 finale is awesome, I love the cameo by Stephen Colbert before he was "Stephen Colbert": "You will faaaaaaail!"
