Why do you think that? Should the Flames hold out until it's too late and get a couple 2nd round picks. Kuzmenko is only signed for one more year, has shown he can score goals, a 1st round pick plus another prospect.

Holding out gets you the Iginla and Bouemeester packages, how did that work out>

Why does this trade hurt the oilers? Honest question. Pretty much zero chance Lindholm would be traded to Edmonton.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by this. Especially because it feels like we already lost the trade with Zadorov. How are other GMs in the league able to get such a haul for players yet it seems like we have to claw just to get anything. I feel like Conroy is getting owned by Allvin so far. Reminds me of Kent Hughes owning Brad Treliving.

Felt like we got an overpay for Zadorov myself or market value. Hard to get much juice for a 5/6 dman.

Kuz's value is down right now because he's terrified of screwing up and getting further into Tocchet's bad books. Watched him a lot last year and I think with a pass first guy like Huberdeau, if Kuzmenko gets to the front of the net he could bang in enough goals to pump up his value and then flip him in the off season or sometime next season. If this is us finally waving the white flag on this season, we can afford a guy who is offense only and doesn't back check if we can improve his value as an asset. But he can't be the centrepiece of this.
