That's on Monahan hiding things so he could play.
Hes not the sharpest tool in the shed.

If he hid his injuries for years from our expert training staff and the team, I'd say he's the smart one and the team and former GM are the dummies

A remarkable resurrection of his career. Well done to all parties involved, except Brad Treliving. You all knocked it out of the park (not you though Brad).
Here's hoping for a long playoff run for him!

Now that my teams are out, I think it would be great if Winnipeg became the first Canadian team to win Stanley since Montreal. Not very likely, but it would be great to see those posers in Edmonton and Toronto gnashing their teeth.

Thing I love the most in Sean's play is just his poise and confidence. Being physically healthy does wonders for the rest of your game....just look at Coleman.
If Toffoli gets hot too , other pieces of that Jet team pick it up and Helly stands on his head that pounding of the avs yesterday is just a glimpse of what's to come.
Easy to cheer for these guys .....Go get it Sean !!!

100% everyone with eyes could see he was injured. We were openly talking about it here, so unless someone here is a team doctor who broke confidentiality then this is the conclusion.

Pretty much Treliving’s Flames career
One good move followed by multiple bad moves…….the wizard was a fraud

Monny with two more ginos tonight!
13G, 20A for 33pts in 36 games. Second on the team in goals, third in points.
Still so hot right now!
Edit: Also, at +15, he's one of only two players on the team above +10. 51.2% in the dots too!

Love Monohan so much. What a loss for our origination in one off season. Unthinkable - Tkachuk, Monohan and Gaudreau.

Monahan would have likely moved on as a UFA after another injury plagued season to be fair but they would still have the first

The Habs also pump up players to increase their trade value by gifting them top line minutes and letting them get away with bad two way play. Not something the flames would ever do.
If Monahan stays in Calgary, he likely gets relegated to the bottom six and then potentially ends up in Europe. Love seeing him succeed though!

Debates aside, I'm glad Monny's has been doing well for the Jackets

A bit harsh to say he potentially ends up in Europe. He was still producing before injuries started to derail his time here.
In the end he did get relegated by Sutter before they shut him down. He just needed to get healthy but I think he also tries to come back asap and another injury happens. When you try to play through something you are making yourself open to more injuries when your body tries to make up for everything not firing.
It’s really unfortunate how his time ended here being a cap dump. He really was our first glimmer of hope after Iggy left. And he sure did deliver. Taking injections just so he could take a faceoff. Guy was a warrior.

Didn't see it posted elsewhere, but Monahan's injury results came back not nearly as bad as it could have been. No breaks, but a sprain and he's estimated out ~10 days, maybe a couple weeks. Great news, as it didn't look great right when he got hurt.

He barely played for the Habs the season he was under the deal the Flames signed. He re signed with the Habs when he was about to go UFA and pumped that season.
