What double standard? Did commentator said Bedard is the best EVER? Did commentator said he is the best in the world? They just said he tied the all time scoring record in World Junior Championship.

Why Arizona? They refuse to build anything and are going for the tank job. I would much rather have a team more deserving get rewarded.

Just feel bad for them, it seems like all of their top picks end up being busts outside of Keller and the recent ones. They had a lot of difficulty growing the fanbase there but this year they are doing great and their future is looking potentially good. Getting someone like Bedard would make them a playoff team for a long time and grow the game there.

Stromgren has been noticeable vs the Finns.

Considering you can only move up a max of 10 spots, you have to be one of the 10 worst teams to have a shot. Even then, it is n3xt to impossible to complete with the tire fires that hold the best percentage chance. Chicago probably won't break 50 points this year.

Peter the Great has the all-time record for most points in a single WJC, with 31pts in 7 games. One of the most untouchable point records in all of hockey... but Bedard might come close!

10 points came in a 20-1 route over Japan too. And Forsberg was 19. Still impressive as hell.

SWE/FIN - WHAT A GAME!!

FIN dominates most of the game... SWE ties with 3 min left, then takes the lead on a short-handed goal w a minute left. 6 on 4 for the last minute, but SWE holds on.... wow...

Epic collapse by Finland there. Although, Sweden intentionally dislodging their net with just under a minute left should have been a penalty. It doesn't get any more blatant than that.

I will be jealous of whichever team gets him. There are precious few teams that I think deserve a player like that.
Especially:
Oilers - no, they had 2 already
Penguins - no, they had 2 already (possibly 3)
Chicago - no, they had Toews and Kane, they had their day. It would suck they get another so soon
Detroit - no they were too good for too long. boo hoo if they are bad now
On the fence:
Columbo/Arizona - it seems they will be sad sacks no matter who they get. Not worth wasting a gen. talent
Montreal - don't deserve it, they have too much golden history, they don't need another gift.

Some of these teams aren't in the running, I'm just saying they don't deserve it anyways.

In 2015 Arizona went from being in a spot to potentially land McDavid, with Eichel as the consolation prize to being pushed down to 3rd and getting Dylan Strome.

That would sting.
