We have had the utility marker flags on our lawn for well over a month now and the contractors are still pretty far up the street from us. They mark where the utilities run underground. The different colours are for like water/gas/electrical or something. The contractor doing the work for Telus (Brudco) put postcards in everybody’s mail slots saying they’re installing fibre and will be causing some damage to lawns and they promise to put it back to normal after. Where they’ve dug so far they’ve covered with plywood and surrounded with yellow tape. Different area, but this basically explains it:

For anything else, may be doing other upgrades. We have some marks on the road and sidewalks. Maybe related to the Telus upgrades, or possible / hopefully fixing the sidewalk cracks.

Where's the best place to find graphic t-shirts now? I used to be a big fan of Threadless, but their quality has gone to #### in the last few years. Any other sites with decent designs that last longer than a few months?

Almost every T-shirt printing company out there eventually cheaps out on shirt quality. It's so stupid.

I mean even that guy in Calgary who does old school franchises like the 88's and Cannons on T-shirts. Amazing idea, happy to pay $35-$40 a shirt for the best quality T-shirt, but nope let's charge less and give you those BS shirts that shrink and misform after one wash.

What happened to all the gophers in Calgary? When I was a kid they were everywhere and that patch of grass at the intersection of Deerfoot and 16th seemed to be their capital. Now I never see a gopher. Were they killed off by some sort eradication program or naturally by predators?

it's the economy. We don't have many rats, so the poor have to eat something.

They all moved to the Nanton golf course. Too many of them on the course.
