He's literally never mentally recovered from his All Star selection by default, followed by his showboating after the Oilers shootout win a week or so later.
His debacle against Dallas in the last playoffs should've sent him packing from the Flames before last season.

Really? I've often seen it with goalies, going all the way back to ‘Pokey and the Bandit’ (Reddick and Berthiaume) in Winnipeg in the 80s. The history of the league is littered with goalies who looked good for a year or two and then fizzled out.
