The Flames have been a mess so far I'm California. Haven't been horrible (in fact, could argue they were a little better 5v5), but not the total dominance we've become so used to seeing. Just pure sloppiness all around, although for a 0-0 period, that was entertaining as hell. Chances galore.
Get back to Sutter hockey

Man, some pretty big missed calls from the ducks. Around the 3:30 mark, Chucky is dumped in in the slot, no where near the puck, and nothing.
Meanwhile they call Zadorov for the softest "roughing" call I've seen in a long time.
Not an excuse though. It felt like we were just waiting for the ducks to put one in.

Anaheim's young players looked great that period. So annoying.
I don't think the Flames were terrible. They had some good chances. All in all, it felt like high danger chances were ~equal.

So the Flames, one of the best 5v5 teams in the league are -8 on the PP and the Oilers, a completely average team 5v5 are +1.
Makes perfect sense.
