This is a terrible system for this roster. A system should not require that you vastly out work the other team every shift to be in the game. Hard work is important but this is not fast hockey that we are witnessing.

If Johnny and Sean had the same work ethic as Lindholm they would be awesome!

I think people are being a tad overly dramatic. I saw a team control the play for the most part, but just couldn't bury their chances. Flames drastically outplayed the Coyotes in the first IMO.

Not a great period, but unusual for Gio not to score on that one PP shift alone.

Last year, entertained 90% of the time. This year entertained 10% of the time. They are back to being who they are.

That was an embarrassing period of play. Maybe I just noticed the mistakes and mishaps more today or something, but that period was a joke.

The amount of times Flames players we’re falling down on their skates was just downright comical. It’s like they were learning how to skate for the first time.
Also, outside of maybe a few shifts from the bottom 6, there was a lot of disjointed play. No chemistry, choppy play.

What has happened to this team? It’s a bunch of imposters out there.

Mental note, for own sanity, do not browse game threads when the Flames are down...

It's funny that everyone is so down on the Flames, because I thought that was the most energetic and physical I've seen them in a while. It's just that Arizona is playing really well. The Flames are matching their intensity and work ethic. I think they're playing pretty well outside of a turnover or two.

Unable to watch this one. Judging by the game thread, you'd think we were losing 5-0. Checked the score and we're only down by 1. Relax, guys. Flames always play better once they get the 1st period out of the way. We've got this.

Flames got better in the latter half of the period. 4 of 6 d men have been having issues keeping the puck in the offensive zone . Only pairing seemingly up to the task has been Andersson and Kylington.

Also, I dont like seeing Kylington standing still with the puck so much. You gotta let the peacock fly!

Like to see a line of Tkachuk, Backlund and Lindholm as our top unit for a while. Gaudreau and Monahan are just not right, and can’t be trusted to be a top line right now.

Denver Wilson changed Tkachuks diapers when he was a kid, he said at 3 years old he had man sized turds.

Let's hear it for Calgarys turd!
