That was the third Chicago game I’ve watched this year. They’ve gotten better.

Hamonic's nose might be broken.

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
#Flames D Travis Hamonic, his nose likely broken after that elbow from Chris Kunitz: “Dumb play, dumb hit, so it’s nice to be able to capitalize and make them pay — get two on the major. That was the turning point, I guess. We get those two and we were able to hold on.”

Chicago looks desperate and de-spirited this season, but man, they are still a dangerous team when they are pissed off. It was a nail biter in the third.

Good thing the Hawks fired Quenneville.

It's a good sign that a game like that is considered a sloppy effort.

Flames dominated most of the game but made a few silly mistakes

poor Hammer, getting so close to losing the jaw protector and now might have to wear a full face shield. #Warrior.

Happy for the win and I hope they're ready to elevate their game. December is a tough schedule.

Hamonic takes one for the team again.

What a stud.

Maybe in the new year we can evolve as a society and do away with the NSFW tag for that gif?

And yes definitely miss Stryker.

That first half of the first period was incredible hockey by CGY. The plays! So fun to watch. This team has incredible potential when they stick to their game, play smart, play hard and play fast. The natural abilities just shine through and we get treated to amazing, skilled, winning hockey.

The truly impressive part for me is that they can still play better. Some guys are warming up but haven't found their level yet but you can see it coming - just stick with it, stay positive and let it flow.

When they play their game, CGY can just dominate. Next opponent will be a great challenge so they need to be sharp.

-it was nice to see 2 second period goals.

Pretty leaky defensively all night. Gave up way to many odd man breaks. Need to clean that up, but luckily tonight Smith was up for the challenge. Great game from him and hopefully that’s a game that gives him some confidence back.

Really like Mangiapane’s game tonight. Strong on the puck and forecheck and created some chances. Neal I thought was good too. I’m sick of saying he’s close, but tonight I really thought he’d get one. All around the net and just can seem to buy one right now. Great to see them take advantage of the 5 min penalty for that dirty hit. Bring on the Jackets.

definitely need to clean things up a bit, but tops in the Pacific and tied for 6th overall?

been a really good year so far...the hope is that the Flames continue to improve as they get a better understanding of Peters' system.

That huge Smith save reminded me of this beauty from Kipper:

Smith covered up for a lot of sloppiness from his teammates.

Deserves a lot of credit for the win.
