I assume you meant to say that you DON'T think he is clearly the league's best player? Sure, that's debatable, however you probably have the easiest time defending him as the best player when compared to anyone else.

I'm pretty sure he just screwed up and didn't Say McDavid in the second sentence. He goes out of his way twice to proclaim that he's not trying to pander to CP. He's saying Crosby is the best player in the world and that McDavid may not even be top 3.
