Players with potential are brought up, play a game, then sit in the press box behind some failing veteran, then dispatched to the minors. Instead of watching a young player learn from the mistakes he makes, we see a veteran make the same mistakes and never learn anything. These guys the longer the transition period. Bring them up, play them in a consistent way (one game in, one game out) as they learn the NHL game.

Hopefully they bring him back. I don't see why they wouldn't have just made the move already if they were not going to bring him back.

The expansion draft, and the prospect draft are two pretty important dates that are coming up quickly.

If they didn't have any faith in Treliving why wouldn't they have made the change back in the fall when this news first popped up, and then had their new GM in place to lead them through the trade deadline, and be able to prepare for the two drafts.

Brouwer, Elliot, cheaping out on Bishop and losing Byron are big reasons for what happened yesterday.

Cheaping out on Bishop? That would have cost of Tkachuk.

And Bishop was WORSE than Elliott this season. And we'd have been stuck with him for 6 more years.

And as much as I liked Byron, 28 other GMs passed on him. Montreal picked him up literally last on the waiver wire. And nobody could have predicted he would become a 20 goal scorer.
