Weird decision by Nate Leaman though. Two lines get tired by the end, and the other ones go cold.

Jankowski looks like he is laboring out there. Must be playing hurt because he's no where near as active as he normally is.

double OT incoming.
BC must be pissed.... last week their hockeyeast semifinal was delayed by the Friars and triple OT. BC has to wait for this game to end to start theirs against HArvard

On Friars radio, they were talking about him being injured and thought he had been clearly labouring. They were a bit surprised to see him back out there.

I have to imagine Jankowski is nursing something. It would be a dick move if Leaman benched a graduating senior (and top forward) in what might be his last career game.

Leaman rolls four lines 5on5, has since I've been following the Friars. Typically Jankowski is what you'd consider the "1st" line but in this particular overtime Leaman effectively put out two lines, not Jankowski's, and ran just those two.
That line finally goes out and looks bad, not shocking they looked cold.

Definiitely. There's something wrong for sure. He isn't getting much ice time and when he does he looks slow. Something is bothering him.

Jankowski is injured (from 9 minutes ago)
Andy Merritt @A_Merritt 9m9 minutes ago
PC support staff next to me wondering where Jankowski is, sounds like he might be out, can't spot him on the bench.

Well if he's injured and it's serious, he won't be able to sign and dress in an NHL game to burn a year.

Gillies didn't need to dress to burn a year.

Why does he have to burn a year in order to sign with the Flames? I would rather see him sign with the Flames and play in Stockton to experience a pro game. At least next season he'll be ready.

Ah the curious case of Jon Gillies.
Will have played a total of seven AHL games by the time year two of his three year ELC ends.

He doesn't have to, but burning the year and taking the signing bonus is the incentive for him to sign with the Flames now rather than consider waiting until August and going UFA.

Could just be an equipment thing if he left the bench and then came back to play, but we'll see in the 3rd.
